Treatments in our offer

We offer a full range of dental treatment. Patients (both adult and child) can choose to be seen entirely privately, receive a mixture of NHS and private treatment, or receive only NHS dental treatment. Please note that not all dentists in the practice will see new NHS patients.

Any treatment not covered under the NHS can be carried out on a private basis. This includes tooth whitening, large white fillings and white crowns on back teeth, amongst many others.

Private patients receive extended treatment sessions and treatment using materials of superior quality.

Hygienist Services

Dental hygienists examine patients for signs of oral diseases such as gingivitis and gum disease, and as such can be regarded as our gum specialists. They don’t just clean teeth, but irrigate out the gaps and pockets between the teeth and gums, and provide a range of expert preventative dental care and advice. They also educate and advise patients on ways to improve and maintain good oral health, aswell as offering advice on other aspects such as diet, general health, and cosmetic options.

Endodontic treatment

Root canal is a treatment that can save a badly infected tooth. An infection in the deep central layer of a tooth can happen as a result of advanced decay or severe damage that’s caused a crack, and occasionally it can be a result of gum disease.

If left untreated this could result in a painful abscess and in some cases the bone can start to shrink, and we may have to remove the tooth. Root canal therapy is a safe way of saving teeth that would otherwise need to be extracted.

Mouthguards

Mouthguards are custom made appliances and are worn to protect your teeth and relax your jaw muscles.

Grinding or bruxism usually happens when you are sleeping, although it can happen at any time during the day.  Some people are unaware they are even doing it.

A mouthguard will help prevent the problem of grinding your teeth and any problems associated with it.
